A dream we’ve carried with us for many years.
Azalé was created by us — Trinh (Hannah) and Trang, two high school friends from Vietnam.
After graduating from high school, we both came to Canada to study, but ended up living in different cities. Trinh moved to Vancouver, while Trang settled in Toronto. Throughout the years, we kept coming back to the same dream: having a little bakery of our own.
After eight years of living in Vancouver, Trinh decided to leave her job and move to Toronto. And Trang, with 8 years of baking and pastry experience, together, we decided to finally make that dream happen.
Azalé is French for azalea, a flower we both love, and simply a name that felt right for us.
At Azalé, we want to make the kind of cream cakes we genuinely enjoy eating: less sweet, made with 100% whipping cream, fresh, and full of flavour.
We love bringing together soft, moist cake, light cream, fruits, and handmade sauces in ways that feel familiar, but still a little different. We want every bite to have its own little surprise, with flavours that come together naturally rather than one overpowering the others.
Our Freshness Promise
Because we believe cakes are at their best when they’re fresh, every cake is made and finished on the day you pick it up. We ask for at least one day’s notice so we have enough time to prepare your order properly.

Every cake is finished fresh on the day you pick it up. We ask for at least 1 day notice so each order is crafted with proper care.
